Crush III
Icebergs look blue because their ice is heavily compressed and lacks air bubbles. This allows sunlight to penetrate deeply into the ice, where long-wavelength red and yellow light gets absorbed, while short-wavelength blue light escapes. The longer the path that the light travels through the ice, the more blue it appears.
These pieces of ice were particularly striking.
